Hash 684 – Rattlebone @ Sherston

Sunday September 15th was lovely and sunny in Swindon though bright and cloudy at Sherston, but DRY!

Caroline and Chris were waiting at The Rattlebone Inn, the first time that we’ve hashed from this Pub.

Numbers seemed low at 10.50, but by 11 am, a sizeable group had gathered.

However, Keith was the only runner, as Viv and John had worse things to do, other runners were absent and Jeremy went running on the Ridgeway (let’s hope he had a torrid time on the Hackpen 10K challenge !).

But at least GOM Kevin and Julie went on the long route, and they and Keith got back at around the same time as us slobs on the short. Mind you that might partly be because Caroline and Chris had a tendency to put the ‘on-on’ 2 dots of flour about 2 miles on from each circle…. (ok, slight exaggeration).

Moans near the beginning as we nearly turned right following dots leading back to the High Street, instead of an arrow pointing to some dots leading the opposite direction. But we could have got back to the pub in less than 10 minutes if we’d turned right ….

Lovely route in pleasant rolling countryside, finishing off in a nice outside area behind  the pub.

GOM thanked Caroline and Chris for their wonderful hash and passed on the bags to Mike in the hope that it will remind him to bring the horn along to the next hash!
